Ichiko's concert 3

and again, I am starting to cry remembering Tsuki no Oka being played and sung right in front of me.

There is a vast distance between Ichiko on the stage and me at the second floor but because we were at the front seat? or I got to meet her and interview her before the concert earlier on the day, it felt we were pretty close distance.

I was just trying to find a link to share that video of her playing that I watched over and over and while I was doing that, I found actual Sydney performance ( Note:This concert was not meant to be filmed or photographed therefore I personally I do not have any to share but here!)
Anyway, here is the one I watched over and over again.

and I burst into tears listening to this song again.

It has been over two months now that this concert happened and I often stop and wonder why/how Ichiko affect me so much.

Back to the song list!
After Tsuki No Oka, she plays a bit of Ponyo and whistle and she announces in Japanese Himawari no ie no Rondo (Rondo of the sunflower house)

She sings this with such ease. She was the breeze like this song goes “Mou Ichido Odoritai Soyokaze ni natte, (I want to dance again like breeze) “

Then she goes and plays the synthsizer. She made sound of lips popping and made me think of bubbles of the ocean. Air balls shining, shimmering in the water…

Sea bed Eden

I personally like this song because of the chord progression being quite standard (to me anyway) but she makes the song interesting with the words and the melody line.

So smooth and just so beautiful.

Then my ears were treated with special arrangement of Space Orphans

She arranged it so synth plays the oceanic sound while she plays the first verse with it and no chord progression happens and I was so excited how this song will turn out after that. Before this day to my own study I watched and read some of her interviews online and she was saying she became good kyboard player through Covid time by simply just playing. and she plays it so beautifully as she sings as well on the stage. I was thrilled to see her again on the stage. Towards the end of the song, the synth we heard at the beginning comes back and that disappear and just her humming and the sound of wind she makes and ever so gently she goes, thank you.

She returned to her guitar thehen Asleep among Endive, dreamy folky piece.

I was in the state of day dream very much like listening to Lullaby. What a treat.

And I was so woken by the sound of guitar of next piece intro!
