gazing softly
One of the many many recordings I have done at home studio, is gazing softly.
The title comes from me gazing softly outside while I play the piano.
Current living situation we have is on to my right side is the lounge room and then a balcony which I call
my humble balcony garden. I’ve got umbrella tree, gooseberry tree, ginkgo tree, bush basil, nasturtium, madagascar beans, aloe vera, blueberries etc.
I have played to the plants, while looking at them and how they sway to the sides and kind of twirl, depending on the wind, they move with the wind and I let my fingers move depending on how they move. It is rather lovely activity.
Sometimes I look around.
Sometimes I hear things and the play to that.
If anyone noticed there are water drops in our ceramic water filter that sits kind of behind me when I am sitting at the piano. Paul and I asked Gen Tanabe, trusted mastering engineer in Japan to keep the water sounds. And of course there are some voices and other surrounding sounds because that is our recording environment. Our lives.
gazing softly is now on Spotify. Link is here
We laugh about the digit of “ .005 cent ‘ per play so little it took a while to make this happen but you never know what the outcome might be unless you do it so here we go.
If you would like to support my creativity more, there is my bandcamp.
thanks!
